About Us:

The Flag House, a National Historic Landmark, was home to Mary Pickersgill and the site where she sewed by hand the Star-Spangled Banner which flew over Ft. McHenry and inspired Francis Scott Key to write the poem which became our National Anthem. The Star-Spangled Banner Museum features a 30 by 42 foot Great Flag Window which is the same size, color and design of the original Star-Spangled Banner Flag. Tours include the Flag House, the Star-Spangled Banner Museum with exhibits on flag history and the War of 1812 and an orientation video presentation.

Hours:

Tuesday - Saturday, 10am - 4pm; last tour at 3:15pm

Reservations required for groups of 10 or more

Tours:

Various patriotic-themed guided tours appropriate for all ages,
length of tour varies to fit your itinerary, group tours and walk-in
tours available, newly expanded gift shop, and landscaped garden.

Accessibility:

Museum building and first floor of the historic house are wheelchair
accessible. A video tour of the second floor of the historic house is
available. Braille information sheets are also available.

Space is available for meetings and special events

Parking:

Free street parking for museum visitors

Admission prices:

Adults: $6.00
Seniors (65 and over): $5.00
Children and students: $4.00
