The Member Museums of the Greater Baltimore History Alliance
Announce Teacher Appreciation Month

February 2008

The museums listed below are pleased to offer free regular admission on weekends in February to Maryland Teachers with valid ID.

The Greater Baltimore History Alliance is a consortium of museums and historic sites in the area dedicated to education and preservation. 

The museums would like to thank teachers for their hard work throughout the year and also to showcase what they have to offer area students in 2007.

Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine, End of East Fort Ave., (410)962-4290, Daily 8am-5pm, (National Park Service sites are unable to participate in this promotion but FMNM offers fee waivers for school groups with prior arrangements.)

Hampton National Historic Site, 535 Hampton Lane, Towson, (410)823-1309, Closed on Monday and Tuesday; check our website for tour times. Grounds open until  5pm, (Free admission for all)

Irish Shrine at Lemmon Street, 920 Lemmon Street, 21223, The museum is available on most Saturdays for a guided tour. To verify times and dates, be sure to call ahead (410) 669-8154, Special walking tours available in March-May check website.
