About Us

Housed in a lower floor of a World War II era hangar at Martin State Airport, the Glenn L. Martin Maryland Aviation Museum showcases Maryland’s contributions to aviation history. Discover how aviation pioneer Glenn L. Martin transformed farmlands in eastern Baltimore County to a thriving aircraft manufacturing plant. Explore the World War II homefront experience with the exhibit They Answered the Call  serving as a tribute to the 1940’s workers of the Glenn L, Martin Company in Middle River, MD. Other exhibits include Maryland Air National Guard, The Titan Rocket, Maryland Astronauts and The Norden Bomb Site. A tour includes indoor exhibits and the outdoor flightline, weather permitting.  The Museum offers curriculum supporting interactive field trip experiences, a monthly free speaker program, Open Cockpit Days for seeing inside aircraft, a Christmas Train Garden display and other events.
